Take about taking purity to the next level, this Gramercy Park establishment uses Tensui water filtration system for all water in the restaurant and ‘raw” meaning nothing heated over 118 degrees. If that hasn’t caught your attention then maybe the dishes will. All menu items are free of dairy and eggs with organic ingredients and flavors said to rejuvenate the body, mind and planet, Pure Wine does just that with dishes served up such flair you forget there’s no meat involved!
With a wonderful organic wine menu to accompany appetizers like the Chanterelle and king ceviche with fresh hearts of cherry tomatoes, cilantro, radish and lemon garlic dressing is all organic of course. Sample the Corn and Cashew Tamales with Chili Spiced Portabella or the Zucchini, local Roma and Heirloom Tomato Lasagna. If you want to try a few selections, ask for the five course chef’s tasting menu and don’t forget to leave room for dessert. With sinfully healthy treats such as Lemon Cheesecake with Blackberries and the ice cream sundae is a must.
A good date atmosphere and friendly service, a fantastic the restaurant seats 64 indoors and 20 in the back dining room. During warmer months, there is a private back garden for all to enjoy.
