About a month ago, a friend put me on to this new workout dvd, that’s guaranteed to give you a leaner, stronger body in 30 days. No I’m serious…Jillian Michaels (JM), personal trainer on the NBC hit show “The Biggest Loser” along with her two side-kicks (Natalie & Anita) push, pant and stretch those muscles to give you serious results. As JM says, “I want you to push through it. You feel that knot in the pit of your stomach, that’s fear leaving the body”. Ummm no Jill–that’s just pain and sore muscles right there.
Now considering I started doing this workout with a guy–who by the way–has less body fat, doesn’t have to deal with monthly cramps, cravings for sugar and chocolate and the awful water retention, I’m not doing half bad. I can see a few cuts coming in, smaller waist and even lost some inches around the ghastly thighs and butt (a woman’s nightmare). Anywho, since most men can shred in an instant (yet another unfair disparity among the sexes), he is definitely a fan and to my disgust shredding away. I would put his picture up for all to see as prove that Jill is no joke—but I don’t think he would like that (smirk)!!
As for Ms. Jillian Michaels, her 20-minute workout is a killer. She mixes cardio, strength training, core and abs in order to help you burn fat and create lean muscle in the shortest time possible. The routine has three levels that gets progressively more intense, so she suggests, when you are comfortable with level 1—move on to the next. As for me, I am on level two and just when I think I’m about to pass out from the gravity-defying, oblique exercises or the walking push-ups, I drop another few inches and dress size–so I am certainly not complaining.
