There’s no biological reason why this woman should look so good at 44 years old and after just pushing out a baby. But if you put down that glass of hater-aid, you’ll see that Halle Berry’s beauty is not at all a facade. She has a classic and simple sense of style. She knows what works for her and doesn’t try too hard. Her look is effortless.

Here she is, looking super sexy, in a Roberto Cavalli cut out dress at the Swarovski Elements party in NYC. Sure, she could’ve been more fashion forward by wearing a peep toe booty and a sleek clutch, but Halle is just doing Halle and I love it!
A Cavalli dress typically runs $1,000 or better, but you can try these other cut-out or “see through” styles for less

JADA AND WILLOW DO MILAN

Jada and Willow hit up a number of shows during Milan’s Fashion Week and have been all the talk on the blogosphere. Quite a few folks are hating on Jada’s femme fatal look, but I personally love it! The leather shorts, high neck sheer blouse and wide brim floppy hat are some of my favorite pieces worn by Mrs. Smith as one ensemble. In fact, I’m inspired to break out my vintage Liz Clairborne camel wide brim hat this season.
I’m not sure who Jada’s wearing but I’m guessing there’s some Ferragamo mixed in with other high end ish. If you’re feeling the mysterious effect of the wide brim hat, check out these high to low options.
(P.S. Loving Willow’s age-appropriate style and that she’s having fun while exploring her own fashion sense)

FRIENDS, FAMILY & EVERYBODY!
If you frequently read my posts, you know just how much I love Bloomies. My in store experience has always been great and it feels like a personal stylist just hand picked all that stuff just for me! So, imagine how excited I get when their Friends & Family sale rolls around. I usually head to the store but with a little one and less time to shop, I’m loving that the online sale is now throught Oct. 3rd . Check out the details below and please share any good finds…

Kerry Washington and Jamie Hector (HBO's The Wire) kick off the 14th Annual Urbanworld Film Fest
Kerry Washington kicked off the 14th Annual Urbanworld Film Festival in a Wes Gordon Fall 2010 ensemble. The puffed sleeve silk blouse, twilight blue high-waisted mini with black python, long sleek hair and bloody red lips was very “fall appropriate” and a good look for the actress who is typically more demure in the hair and makeup department.
Newcomer Wes Gordon interned for Oscar de la Renta and Tom Ford before launching his own line, and the entire outfit, shown here, can run you well over $600. If you want this look for less, I found a similar style panel skirt from Guess by Marciano for $128 and a printed puff sleeve blouse from Express for only $49.90!

Alexander McQueen winged bootie ($1,285) Madden Girl "kernel" bootie ($49.95 on Endless.com)
A couple weeks ago I showed the Alexander McQueen winged bootie in my top fave fall boots. Although it’s a hard act to follow, Steve Madden has designed a look-a-like at, of course, a fraction of the price. The Madden Girl Kernel bootie is $44.95 on Endless.com and even less at DSW.
I’m not in love with it, but I don’t hate it. A better quality zipper (in gold or pewter) and softer leather would totally win me over, but I still think this is very wearable and cute with a pair of skinny jeans or bright leggings. For such a great deal, I would work it!
LELA ROSE FOR PAYLESS

Lela Rose ruffled one-shoulder dress - $1,295 at Bergdorf Goodman
Kim Kardashian, Zoe Saldana and Jessica Simpson are just a few of the celebrities who go ‘ga-ga’ for Lela Rose’s ruffled silhouettes. Known for high-end, gorgeous wedding gowns and cocktail dresses, Lela Rose recently launched her fall shoe collection at Payless! Honestly, I don’t do Payless. Nothing against the brand, but my size 10 feet don’t look or feel good in anything man-made.
Still, their designer collections from Christian Siriano, Isabel Toledo and Lela Rose caught my attention while flipping through September’s Vogue. Like H&M and Target, Payless has now joined forces with designer brands to bring customers (somewhat) better quality for less. My favorite from the entire collection is this suede peep toe, cut-out bootie…

Marc Jacobs quilted satchel - $1,350
No one does quilted leather bags like Chanel, but this season Marc Jacobs comes close with his ‘Stam’ quilted frame satchel. It’s a great everyday fall bag that will give your wools and cashmere a “rich” look. If you check it out in stores, you’ll see that it’s made to last for many seasons and worth the $1,350, but if you want this look on a lower budget here are some worthy look-a-likes:

BEYONCE GOES AVANT-GARDE IN ST. TROPEZ

Beyonce in St. Tropez rocking multi print Dries van Noten embellished shirt ($1,225) with Boxing Kitten shorts (around $79)
The Carters are vacationing in St. Tropez and their publicists I mean the paparazzi have been capturing their every move and every outfit worn by the Mrs.
Here she is in a multi print Dries Van Noten shirt and Boxing Kitten shorts. Mixing prints is very “in” right now but it’s hard to pull off and can leave you looking like a bad circus act. I think Beyonce worked this look very well and like the fact that she went to the extreme with this—mixing more than 2 prints with no solids to balance it out. The chunky gold necklace is also gives it a nice edge. The shirt retails for $1,225 and the shorts will run about $79.
If you’re up for the challenge to mix and match prints, try these less expensive ideas with an added dose of confidence to carry it off.

TINY GETS AN A FOR EFFORT!
Tameka “Tiny” Cottle is hardly the fashionista with her suffocating spandex, gaudy denim and bad hair color. Well every now and again, with the help of a good stylist, celebrities like Tiny manage to pull it off. Here she is at the premiere of hubby T.I.’s new film Takers in an Alice + Olivia peplum sequined bustier dress. I like this look on her and would have loved it if she wore less jewelry and covered up some of those tats.

Tiny in Alice+Olivia peplum bustier dress - Orig $495
The dress is originally priced at $495, but if you shop around you can probably get it for $350 on sale. You can get an even better deal, since peplum dresses are very hot this season, on a lower end designer. Here’s my favorite look-a-like pick:
HALLE GRACES THE COVER OF VOGUE

Classic fashion for a classic beauty. That’s the first thing that came to mind when I saw Halle wearing this black velvet Giorgio Armani one-shoulder cocktail dress in the September issue of Vogue. The designer’s fall 2010 collection pairs this season’s one-shoulder trend with classic fabrics and silhouettes. To get Halle’s look you’ll have to fork out a couple thousands, but luckily other designers are showcasing this style in their collections (a much lower prices).
Check out my favorite one-shoulder pieces and oh yeah, Halle also talks candidly about her break up with baby daddy Aubry (for those of you who care).
