Delicioso!

The Italians sure know how to dine and at IL Punto Ristorante,  it’s definitely a bit of Italy in Manhattan. As you pass the sidewalk seating and enter into this friendly atmosphere, you are greeted with a smile and the exotic, flavorful aroma that makes this restaurant a must! Formerly known as Osteria Gelsi, at the renamed IL Punto, patrons discover what Italy is about with traditional dishes from regions such as Florence, Napoli, Milan, Rome, and more. Enjoy an exceptional and vast wine selection from the sweet Rieslings to the savory Cabernets; this Midtown locale has it all.

Bask in the casual elegant décor as executive Chef Michele conjures up such exquisitely divine cuisine from starters of stuffed Artichokes with Mozzarella, Baby Seppia (tender Squid) with a baked herb lemon crust, or a broad range of pasta like the Priest Strangler to entrees such as the amazing Lombatina Al Vincotto (grilled tender rib Veal Chop in a red wine reduction and drizzled with Vincotto served over a bed of spinach). The meals are perfectly paired, and artfully presented with lightly-infused sauces that compliment each dish.

With substantial portions, one must remember to leave room for the simply delish desserts, which are made from scratch on premises. Taste the rich, creamy Torta Al Formaggio (Italian cheesecake), Tartufo Gelato (ice cream truffles), Pear in Barolo red wine, fresh fruit sorbets or choose from an array of sinful options on the menu.

IL Punto is a great spot for the picky eater, theatre enthusiast, business meeting, a romantic date or just about anyone who wants real authentic cuisine. Visit them at 38th and 9th Avenue and see what keeps New Yorkers including this one returning for more!

Have you eaten at IL Punto? What are your thoughts on the meal? What is your favorite dish? Haven’t tried it? Check them out and share your meal with us. Don’t forget to tell them NUBIA sent you.
