On top of celebrating my birthday at the annual all white party, I get invitations to a bunch of other “all white” events. By the time I get to event number three, I’m fresh out of outfit ideas and there’s never anything left in the stores.

There’s still a whole month left until we bid farewell to summer whites and I’m sure some genuis party promoter is dreaming up another white party…ugh! Well, if you’re on the hunt for summer whites, here are a few end of season shopping tips.

1. While your favorite boutique or department store is making room for fall inventory, you can find whites and other summer seasonals online at lower prices

2. If you’re having trouble finding dresses that fit, opt for separates like a draped or embellished top with with a simple tube mini skirt or slouchy shorts

3. Never get too many white pieces all at once. White gets discolored very easily (even sitting in your closet) and some materials will look dingy after a couple washes.
