I still don’t understand the rationale of men. Do they really believe the grass is always greener on the other side? Here’s some perspective fellas, the reason why you get along so well with the mistress is because she is the pop-off, she–like you is looking for a good time. She has no kids with you, no bills, and therefore no responsibilities. You can have sex whenever and wherever you want it, you can wine and dine  without hearing about “what the kids need”. It is in essence a fantasy, a mirage—like seeing a flowing river in the midst of a dessert.

Now, when did the mistress start to become the future Mrs.? With celebs like Swizz Beatz ditching their wives at six months preggers for the chick they boning (I don’t care how fine Alicia is), do “these” women really believe they won’t do it to them too? Do they believe their goodies is so fantastic that it will change a man’s wandering ways—NOT!! After all word on the street is he has another kid with a previous mistress. However, I’m sure there are cases where he leaves his wife for the jump-off and they live happily ever after, but this is not a fairytale and karma is certainly a B!%#@!!

Why is marriage and commitment so easily forsaken for some new @$$? Last night while sipping on some wine at Hudson Terrace, this was the topic of conversation for my girlfriends and I. Maybe we should take more time to know what we want within ourselves before getting married. Maybe, we should look for better qualities in the other person, and not focus so much on the physical.

Are these factors some of the causes for the 53% divorce rate or the inexplicably amount of infidelity taking place in relationships. Is temptation really lurking around every corner? Like my friend said “If a person is going to cheat then they will, if not–then they will keep it in their pants and keep it moving.” Amen!!!
