The other day my male friend informed me I curse too much, my response “GTFOH!” But then I began to think, do men like women who have sailor mouths? I curse, it’s a form of expression, whether it’s ladylike or not—who really cares. I believe that if you love me you love all of me and that includes all my mother f’rs and a-holes. I curse when I drive; I curse when I am animated or telling a story. I like Bernie Mac once said “use the MF word as a noun, adjective, pronoun and verb—so what!
Now hear is the thing, is it really a turnoff? When I think about the men I’ve dated, none of them really swore like I did, in fact they almost never used certain terms or words—at least not around me. Does this mean they require me to curb my choice of words a bit? Does this mean I have dropped on the totem pole because I use an occasional “sinful” word? What do you readers think about a woman cursing? Why is it looked upon as unladylike when a lot of men have a dirty mouth as well? Is cursing suppose to be a man thing?
